What is the format of IELTS General & IELTS Academic?

You will listen to four recordings of native English speakers, then you have to write a series of answers.

Recording3: A conversation between up to 4 people is set in an educational context.
Recording4: A monologue on an academic subject.

3. Writing
Academic IELTS Writing format
Task 1: you will be given a graph, chart, and diagram and asked to describe or summarize it in your own words.
Task 2: you will be asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, arguments, etc.
General IELTS Writing format
Task 1: you will be given a situation and ask you to write a letter requesting information or explaining the situation.

4. Speaking
Task1: The examiner 1st introduce himself & then ask you to introduce yourself and confirm your identity. In this section, the examiner asks general questions about work, studies, family, interests, etc so that you get relaxed.
Task2: The examiner will give you a topic and ask you to talk for 1-2 minutes without interrupting you. Therefore prepare well and continue talking up to the time you are given.
Task3: the examiner will ask you the questions related to the topic given in task 2.
