Reading Module 

The PTE Reading test checks your ability to read and write in the English language. It will test your reading abilities in 32-41 minutes.  The PTE Syllabus for English in Reading Section Consist of five types of Questions. Academic subjects like humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences are covered in PTE reading tests. Candidates who want to study abroad must take the PTE exam and pass the reading section; hence a high score in PTE reading is needed.

10 Tips & Trick for PTE Reading Module

  1. Read Often: Make a habit of reading on a regular basis. In the Fill in the Blanks module, this will be especially useful. Reading provides students with a variety of words, definitions, and word patterns that help in guessing the correct word.
  2. Read the dictionary: Reading a dictionary on a regular basis might be really beneficial in the PTE Exam. Start by learning one new word per day and gradually increase the number as you build confidence.
  3. Read Short Paragraph on variable Subjects: You can prepare for the ‘Multiple choice questions’ by reading short paragraphs and then trying to answer a few questions relevant to the passage.
  4. Practice Comprehensions: Another way is to practice reading comprehension passages from various books. Keep in mind that you’ll require active reading skills to answer the questions that follow.
  5. Examine the incorrect answers: Examine your wrong answers. You’ll see a pattern and be able to recognize and correct it. For example, if you spend some time checking what went wrong with your replies in the ‘reorder paragraph,’ you will see a trend that will eventually help you find the correct sequence.
  6. Use time Management Skills: You have to properly manage your time. Set a time limit for yourself for each task and work within it. Remember that passing the PTE Exam is all about managing your talent and time effectively.
  7. Practice Grammar: Remember, whether it’s the reading or writing module, you can’t do it without working on your grammar. Most of the time, you’ll need to study up on your grammar basics, but it’ll be necessary for good results. 
  8. Understand punctuations: From vocabulary to grammar to punctuation, the usage of proper punctuation will be important. Don’t be confused… we’re talking about PTE reading, not PTE writing! Understanding how to utilize punctuation in the right places, on the other hand, will make it easier to understand the meaning of a sentence.
  9. Practice Speed Reading: Spend some time speed reading in addition to focused and active reading to become a fast reader. It will be really helpful in the long run.
  10. Use an Elimination Strategy: Finally, use the elimination method. That is, cross off all of the answers that you are certain are incorrect. Then, to find the correct answer, pay careful attention to the ones that are remaining
